Authentic recipe of La Sablesienne famous shortbread cookies, Madeleine de Souvré, better known as the Marquise de Sablé, introduced this shortbread cookie in July 1670 to the court of the great Condé. She showed a multitude of small round biscuits to the brother of the king who was conquered by these delicious sweets.
