Harvested from the South Ethiopian Highland Forests, this Timiz Pepper has a smoky and resin smell. The smoky smell comes from the drying out process. After being harvested by the Manjo people of Ethiopia, these peppers are dried on the hearth of the Tukul homes which are built out of eucalyptus wood and bamboo. The Eucalyptus and Bamboo provide the Timiz Pepper with it's smoky smell. This pepper is delightful in bitter chocolate desserts or with goat cheese.
